To open the Preferences dialog, you need to click the button on the toolbar.
Here you can set the path to the user interface presets.
List of preset files that are in this folder.
Click this button to load and set as default the selected preset file in the Presets list.
Displays the default preset file.
Specifies the grid step of the node viewport.
Specifies the font size in nodes. Note that nodes with large font sizes may not look pretty.
Specifies the minimum viewport scale at which the node's controls will be blocked. This is done so that on a small scale, you can easily move the nodes without accidentally changing the value of the parameters.
Specifies the minimum viewport scale at which the node's connectors will be blocked.
Specifies the width of the node's border.
Specifies the width of the border of the selected node.
These are the same settings as in Preference parameters rollout.
Note: These settings are not saved in the preset file.
Opens a GrowFX2 message window if it has been closed.
When on, displays the reports of creating path lines and meshes, particularly the time spent for calculating.
When on, displays additional information about the created path lines.
When on, displays additional information about the created meshes.
Here you can change the colors of the node elements and additional elements of the node viewport.
Saves the settings in a new preset file.
Cancels any changes made to the settings.
Applies settings changes.
Note: This button does not save changes to the preset file, so to keep these settings the next time you start 3ds Max, you need to save them with the Save As... button.
