Hawkington
hi Recently I began to learn Growfx,Now I have a basic problem. This similar parameter is repeated in many panels What's the difference between them,Although I did some try, but still very puzzled。 Can you help me? My English is not very good, if there is actually a graphic case easier to understand.... Thanks in advance
Eduard
Hi Hawkington, These are the basic parameters from which you can create an Affects to influence onto other parameters. Each of these parameters has its own purpose. For example, for the Branches path open the "Parameter: Path Position", and here you can create an Affect to the length of the branches so that the branches are reduced to the top of the tree. For the Trunk path you can add an Affect from "Parameter: Length", and influence to the length of the branches. This will allow you to animate the length of the trunk, as a result, the branches will also be animated (they will depend on the length of the trunk), and the entire tree will have the correct growth animation. Other parameters can also be used for various purposes. I hop this helps... Thanks!
Hawkington
hi Eduard, thank you vray much !Forgive me I'm a beginner. I tried once, I think I understand a little,But there are still a few questions to ask 1.I seem to have understood the application of the attribute that the "Parameter: Path Position" under the panel“path distributor”,This parameter is adjusted for almost all parameters of the branch。But under the “attribute in point” panel , these parameters have any special purpose? these are "Parameter: angle div"、"Parameter: angle bend"、"Parameter: offset",Can you help me give an example? 2. under the “direction modifiers” panel,“”Parameter:xxx” these parameter can affect the next levels of branch attribute adjustment, and can be used to regulate plant growth animation,But what is the difference between these two parameters :“Parameter: angle”、“Parameter: length” I do not know if I understand it right. Best regards Thanks in advance
Eduard
Hi Hawkington, 1.I seem to have understood the application of the attribute that the "Parameter: Path Position" under the panel“path distributor”,This parameter is adjusted for almost all parameters of the branch。But under the “attribute in point” panel , these parameters have any special purpose? these are "Parameter: angle div"、"Parameter: angle bend"、"Parameter: offset",Can you help me give an example? Ok, please see my examples: Parameter: Angle Div: Parameter_AngleDiv_1.gfx Parameter: Angle Bend: Parameter_AngleBend_1.gfx Parameter: Offset: Parameter_Offset_1.gfx 2. under the “direction modifiers” panel,“”Parameter:xxx” these parameter can affect the next levels of branch attribute adjustment, and can be used to regulate plant growth animation,But what is the difference between these two parameters :“Parameter: angle”、“Parameter: length” The Parameter: Angle uses the angle between two adjacent path segments: This setting is used very little, it can be used as in the example below, although there may be someone using it somewhere else. Parameter_Angle_1.gfx Upd: Also, please see our FAQs, where you can find a description of these parameters... Cheers
