Christmas in Alsace 2015 - Xmas trees

Hi Everybody!
 
This year again I created a short animated Christmas film for my client based in Alsace, right next to Germany.
Instead of purchasing Evermotion tree models I decided to dive into Xmas trees creation with the help of GrowFX. The most complex model was the giant tree in the center of the Winter market, vertex color information was really useful to create lights generated at the tips of branches only. More than trees I could create pine crowns, standard and electric garlands, etc.

Enough talking, here is the film:

 

Here are some WIP from this summer about objects created with GrowFX:

 

The Making Of will follow by the end of the year, early neaxt year and will have a part about creating such models.
