Trouble trimming

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to prune branches of a growfx object, but I'm stumped. I selected the branches path, then under Direction Modifiers added a Trim modifier. I then ticked the "Trim Lines" button, but I'm unable to select any branches. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

MAX 2014x64. It's entirely possible I've done something wrong. I'm very new to GrowFX and it has been a very slow start trying to find my way around.

Client wants me to remove lower limbs for view and access. This is the first tree I've made, so it might be a disaster. Any suggestions are welcome.

Yep. That's what I wanted. I am unable to select branches to add to that trim modifier. (Or erase modifier)

Also, I am unable to load the file you posted above. It says that it was created with a newer version of GrowFX. I am running 1.9.8 SP3
