adom86
Hey guys We have recently purchased growfx and have an issue when using it with Backburner. We get the very useful error of 'pipe has been ended: 109 3ds max adapter error' after each node has rendered about 30-40 frames. Any one have similar issues or solutions for this. Many thanks Adam
Eduard
Hi Adam, We don't know the reason for this problem. Please send me your scene file, we'll try to investigate this issue...Thanks!
ptrain03
I did a search on the forums here using the search term "backburner" and a few threads came up. I don't think any of them adressed you problem specifically though. I googled your error and came up with a few things. http://forums.cgsociety.org/archive/index.php/t-1058867.html http://area.autodesk.com/blogs/maxstation/n83_3dsmax_adapter_error_the_pipe_has_been_ended_109_3dsmax_exe_process_no_response I am not very familiar with network rendering but these looked like they might help. From what I gathered this may be an issue with backburner or max itself. Hope it helps Paul
adom86
Thanks, backburner is generally the most unstable thing known to man (I use it every day) so I'm pretty sure it is a backburner thing, although I found once I removed the Matsu tree which I got from the library it worked but I cant see it just being down to that. Strangely another thing it might have been was deleting the camera which was created using Max 2014 perspective match, weird!
adom86
I have been doing some tests. The Matsu and Bamboo plants from the library are crashing out on Backburner, even with standard materials on them. Can anyone replicate this? Max 2013 64bit Backburner 2013.

austingrd
'pipe has been ended: 109 3ds max adapter error' 'pipe has been ended: 109 3ds max adapter error' Hi, were we able to successfully duplicate the issue? I was wondering if there was a way to get around this.
adom86
I found that it was a couple of trees that were causing it.. Had to go through rendering them in isolation one by one and deleted the ones that caused a crash.. I am starting to think that copying grow fx objects can sometimes become corrupt.. Sorry if that's in the manual (not gone through it all yet)
