Problems with UVW mapping when using metamesh

Hey folks,

this is my first post here.

As far as i know there is no other thread about this thema.

I just started to work with GrowFX a few weeks ago and are stil trying to find things out.

Unfortunately there are not so many tutorials out there. Especially for the problems i have  ;)

So my central issue at this moment is the mapping when i use metamesh.

I have some screenshots so you can see what i mean. Perhaps you have some tips for me to make it better :)

Hello Eduard,

here is my scene. I made the textures smaller so i could upload it here. Hope this is ok :)

Hi Chuteart, I hope this gets resolved for you which I'm sure it will be. can you post the solution here too if possible?

Of course i'll post the solution here as soon as possible :)

Hi Chuteart,

In your Bitmap texture was disabled the Tile option, as a result a branch was not completely covered with texture, see my screenshot:

Tile_is_off.png

I also changed the following parameters:
For Path_01 -> Meta_mesh_01:
    UVW Mapping:
        U coords:
            Absolute width = off
            Tile = 3.0
        V coords:
            Length = 0.01m
    UVW weight = 120

For Path_02 -> Meta_mesh_01:
    UVW Mapping:
        U coords:
            Absolute width = off
            Tile = 2.0
        V coords:
            Length = 0.006m
            Tile = 1.0

Also I added an Affect from Path_02->PathDistr_01->Parameter:Path position  to  Path_02->Meta_mesh_01->UVW V-Coords: Length.

See all settings in the max file: Willow_Branch_Scene_1.max

Hope this helps...

Cheers!
