META MESH IN RENDERING

Hi guys!

I have an issue while rendering an animation with metamesh option enabled. The trees look like have sort of animated noise on the truk and branches. Tried with v ray with and without GI also with scanline I have same problem.

Is there any way to fix this problem to use metamesh in animation?

Will appreciate your help,

Very best wishes

This is just a guess, but is it a smoothing issue?

If the tris are changing shape maybe some of them are getting too narrow or collapsing. That is the only thing I can think of that would cause noise that is unrelated to your light calculations or materials.

You might be able to to fix it by increasing the size of your segments and increasing the min face size in your meta mesh.

Hope it helps

Thank you Eduard for your help. Is there a chance my instalation can be somehow corrupt? The resent file of yours is not animating at all. I see you have nicely moved the wind modifier for each path into the after mesh modifier's list but no result on my machine.

Sounds like it is a hard start to get better later on  ;)

Please advise

Modifier Wind animation best used in the After Mesh Modifiers!

Modifiers assigned in the After Mesh Modifiers will be calculated after calculation of all meshes. This will only affect on the resulting meshes, and will not affect on the paths. Accordingly, it works more quickly because the paths and meshes (especially meta meshes) are not calculated in each frame of the animation.

Try to render your trees and you'll see the wind animation. Or turn on the Meshes mode for some GrowFX object and watch the animation in the viewport...

Thanks!

Hello,

I've got the same kind of problem but it is not due to the wind.

When the tree is not animated, the metamesh doesn't render the same way. The form of the tree is a little bit different, it is like if I had a animated displacement ( either if I calculate te same frame 2 times, it doesn't look the same ).

Do you have an idea of how I could fix this ?

Thanks a lot
