hard bend problem

Hi,

I have a problem with Hard bend used together with copy direction (i think this is the problem). I need to turn off Bend by Angle in Hard bend, because it cause a stretched polygons (see the image bellow) and bend the leaf only by Vector which dotn't stretch the polygons  ...but if i turned it off Copy direction completly messed up orientation of leaves and I'm not able to achieve the the same shape as before without that Bend by Angle option. So it's there any way? I attached max file so you can test it.

Here, I think you can add the Radial direction modifier (see my example: garlic_1.max), but for this modifier need to add some options to define the limits of the radial effect, I think it will simplify adjustment (without using the graph).

We'll add these options asap.

Thanks it works good but now there is a problem with animation

 

edit:ha! I turned off Length Affect of leafs that you added and now the animation better but still not so clean as before

I have still problem with your solution with radial direction. There is an annoying jitter movement of leaves in animation.

I'm attached a new garlic animation where I'm using radial direction modifiers. I also added a rendered preview so you can see the jitter movement, it's like stop-motion animation
