jessicalzq
Hi Everyone, I want to export the trees i made in 3ds to cryengine, what should i do with the textures? Is it like the normal object that we export from 3ds maxs to cryengine through the max exporter? Thank you. :)
Eduard
Hi, Yes of course, GrowFX objects are normal objects like any other 3ds Max objects. Just don't forget to turn on the Convert to mesh in the Preference parameters rollout. Cheers
mithcd
Ahhh. Convert to Mesh. I'll give this a try and see how it goes.

Hello, i am using the 3ds max 2011 64bit exporter, i found out i forgot to turn on the convert to mesh button, but after i tick on that, it still had error pop up to prevent me from exporting the trees to cryengine.

Eduard
Hi, I understand that your tree has more than 64K vertices and CryENGINE doesn't allow to export it... Try to reduce the number of vertices in your tree to 64000... Thanks!
Eduard
First, convert your tree into Editable mesh, then you can to export as an usual 3dsMax object. But I think the problem is that the CryENGINE not accept objects with a large number of vertices. Cheers!
