Carlos Rodriguez
Hi there, I have noticed something strange with the new release for Max 2023, it seems that when this version is installed, 3ds max takes too much time to startup compared with max 2022, after uninstall it takes less time to load. Have you noticed something like it? Time has incremented for a whole minute.

HenrikBC
Hi I just bought a license for GrowFX 2 and noticed the same issue in 2023. Super slow start up time. With GrowFX in the plugins.ini 1min 36 secs Without GrowFX in the plugins.ini 35 secs Is this due to some licensing "phone home" that makes max wait? In any case, a fix for this would be nice. HenrikBC
Just installed the max GrowFX 2.0.1 update for max 2023. Max is still super slow to start up. I timed it to 1 min 20 secs. It's good to take pauses throughout the day, but I'd prefer if I was the one making the decision - not my software.
HenrikBC
Bump. Is this reproduceable by the dev-team? Would really love a fix for this as I end up starting a new 3ds max process several times during any given day.
archimi
I'm not sure there really is a development team. What's crazy is there isn't even a response to say the issue is taken care of

Carlos Rodriguez
After a long time, I decided to check this whole situation again, I havent had used GrowFX too much, but I decided to test Vantage Animations and needed to animate some plants. I was having the same loading time issues with max 2024, startup times about 1:30 min, but I noticed time increment even without GrowFX, only Vray and Corona, then in the workstation from my job, max 24 startup really fast, so I tested again with growFX 1.9.9 SP11 uninstalling Corona and the issue was Chaos License Server, but only with Corona, Vray didnt have any issues. I tried this in my original post "June 7, 2022", I even post this in the Corona Forum, back then we found out that GrowFX was causing this, maibe something suddenly change in the latest versions . So my startup times now are about 35-38 sec, if youre still having this issue, check your Chaos License Server if your using Corona.
