Node editor off screen?

Hi,

I click the node editor button and it turns blue but nothing shows up on screen. I am assuming that this is because it's showing up off screen. Is there any way to retrieve things that are off screen?

Hi Chris,

 

Most likely yes, the window showing up off-screen.
 

You can reset this value by deleting the registry key: "WinPosition: Node Editor" in

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Exlevel\GrowFX\3dsMax_XXXX\Settings 

 

Where XXXX is your 3dsMax version.

Hi Eduard - 

I'm getting this problem too in 3ds 2024 - and have gone to the regedit - deleted the above key, and deleted the registry key. But still no node editor popping up (I change around to different screens a lot so not surprised it is confused - just wondering if there are any other things I could try?

 

Ignore above - it is a 3Ds Max 2024 (2023 was working fine) problem that can be fixed by adjusting display settings
