chroma
Hi, I recently started using GrowFX 2.1.2, and whenever I add a Wind Animation node to the After Mesh Modifiers of the final leaf path, GrowFX crashes immediately. The same setup worked correctly in GrowFX 1.9.9 SP12. I have tested several different files, and the same behavior occurs in all of them, which makes me think there may be an issue with version 2.1.2. The leaf polygon count is not very high. I would like to add wind animation to my trees. If possible, I would like to revert to GrowFX 1.9.9 SP12. Could you please help me with this issue? 3dsmax 2023 GrowFX 1.9.9 SP12 or GrowFX 2.1.2 test.max
Eduard
Thanks for your bug-report. Yes, this issue has already been fixed, but the fix is included in the latest GrowFX 2.2.0 build. Version 2.1.2 is no longer being updated, so this fix cannot be applied to 2.1.2. You can download and install the latest GrowFX 2.2.0 build from your account. Thanks again! chroma
Thank you for your replies. I installed the latest version, 2.2.0, but GrowFX still crashes when I add a Wind Animation node and select a Wind Helper. I tested several different files and experienced the same crash in all of them. All of these are purchased files. However, I noticed that the name in the Copyright Text field has somehow changed to "h" instead of the original copyright owner's name. I would really like to add wind animation to these files. Would anybody be able to help or suggest a workaround? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Eduard
Hello chroma, Thanks for your bug-report again! Yes, I noticed a problem when I added the Wind modifier. If some branches are deleted with the Eraser modifier, Max crashes. I've fixed it now, but I need to verify it with your Max file. If you can, send it to me. We also fixed the 'h' issue in the Copyright Text, as far as I remember, but if it still remains, I need to check with your file. So, if possible, please send me your Max files. You can send them to support@exlevel.com. And what version of 3dsMax are you using? I'll send you an update right away. Thanks!

Eduard
Hello chroma, Thanks a lot for confirming that the updated version works correctly. We've now updated all GrowFX 2.2.0 builds on the server, so if anyone experiences a similar issue, please download and install the latest build again from your User panel account. Thanks again!
