  1. Hey all, is it possible to apply a wind animation to a grass mesh that I've already built? If so, are there any tutorials on how this can be accomplished? I'm new to growFX so I'm not quite sure where to start. Thanks!
  2. Hello, I am having an issue with some branches that I'm trying to animate. The thing is that thau have to grow from 0, and at the end to start moving with the wind. I need to collpase them into mesh, but the point cache does not work.
  3. I'm working on a palm tree and I'm having a problem with the orientation of leaves. I've attached screenshots and a reference image with it. I've added Path Distributor Modifier with Turn Axis 0.0 and Count 2. When I rotate leaves using Angle Axis in Leaves_Mesh Modifier, Both sides of leaves (1 and 2 in the screenshot) rotate in the same direction. I want them to rotate opposite to each other to achieve the result like in the reference image (Leaves facing the camera). Is there anything I can do to achieve that result? Yes, I can create a whole new path just for the other side but if there's an alternate solution to it then please let me know. Thanks!
  4. Hi guys, I've searched through the forum but couldn't find the answer I was looking for. I needed to resolve how to attach instanced geometry, or at least figure out a technique for attaching leaves to stems so that I'm not left with a visible end section. There must be a simple method I'm sure, may be I have missed a setting?.... although it seems this may end in the situation being discussed on another thread with @Richard & @Eduard? My immediate thought was that the combine meshes would be the feature I needed, however I've so far been unable to actually join meshes, only align them. Thanks!
  5. Hi guys, I want to create this leaf (sunflower plant) with geometry and not an opacity map. Is it possible with the leaves mesh or do I have to use instanced geometry? So far I have no luck with the leaves mesh - I can't seem to create that indent you see at the start of the leaf. Thanks, Terri
  6. Hi, I have never had this issue before, but today every time I open the 'vertex color' dialog in Mesh Builder my scene crashes.I haven't used GrowFX for the past week. Seems like GrowFX has automatically updated as I now have the mini diagrams when selecting mesh types etc. I had to reinstall Max yesterday so not sure if that has anything to do with it? Anyone else having the same problem? I'm using Max 2014, Vray 3 Thanks a mil, Terri
  7. Hi, I've been struggling with UVW stretching when it comes to Meta Meshes. (See screenshot) Changing the steps and UVW Weight parameters sometimes helps a little, but doens't always eliminate it. Is there anything else I'm missing? Cheers, M.
