  1. Hello, I am new to GrowFX and I must say this tool amaze me. It is indeed a complete tool for foliage creation! Anyways, I looked up the website and the forum for an explination on how to use vertex color for leaf variation, but couldn't find what I needed. There are really beautiful renders by 3DMK for a tree with and without the use of vertex color, I tried to acheive a similar result but seems like I am missing something regarding VC and couldn't get to set it up right to create variation. Any advice or suggestion would be really appreciated! Thanks, Moh'd
  2. So i have my custom leaf using instanced geometry but i cannot find a way for me to make those meshes in the top of the tree smaller, also i dont see the option doing the same thing , lets say i have a branch and i spawn my leafs from the start to the end , so the leafs should be smaller at the end of the branch , this is crucial for getting this looking real and i cannot find the solution.
  3. Hi guys, Please can someone advise how to model the veins at the back of this leaf (where when I deform the main stem, the veins and the leaf deform with it). It's ok with a texture from far off, but close up views require the geometry itself. Thanks a mil, Terri
  4. Hi All, just finished making the classic indoor plant - Dieffenbachia C&C welcome Cheers Jamie 3dmk - TreeLine
  5. Hi guys, I'm having some trouble with the orientation of my leaves. In the attached render, I gave the leaves a Front & Back material. The green side is the front of the leaf, while the red is the back. As you can see, some leaves are flipped, giving me undesired results when rendering with a two-sided material. I'd like to have the top of all of the leaves facing the sky. Is there any way I can control how the leaves are facing, so none of them are flipped the wrong way? I've tried a bunch of different things, but can't seem to get it right. Cheers, M.
