  1. Material Mat Id percentage

    It's a growth animation.
  2. We are creating an animation with in excess of 50 individual leaf textures. Each leaf has somebodies face on it. Am I correct in thinking that if I have 50 material ID's setup for leaves and I assign a count rate of 2% Count Rate for each Mat ID each MatId will likely be shown twice (if we have 100 leaves) ? IE 100 / 50 = 2% per leaf. We need to get an even distribution of face textures from the 50 materials we are assigning to the the GrowFX which we aren't at the moment.

    I scrub the timeline right and get a consistent crash around and after frame 273. So I open the file - get the timeline scrubber and move right - consistent crash every time. GFX details below - let me know if you need any more.     I've altered the tree so it doesn't use any splines and it seems to grow ok now. Previously I had a spline for the direction of the Trunk and a spline for the direction of the branches and this seems to be the problem.
  7. Hi - I've animated a relatively simple tree - every time I scrub the timeline it's crashing consistently - any ideas or thoughts on what usually causes crashes when animating tree growth ? V. 1.9.9 SP3 Also crashed when I attempt to make a Cache.

    Thanks - I've since bought the plugin and the convert to mesh is un-greyed and will render !! Great plugin by the way & thanks for the help. Does it come with any presets by the way ? Can't find any !! Looking for a silver birch

    Hi - thanks, I found the Mesh Material ID section - that will probably solve the problem. While I have your attention - this maybe a question for Redshift people - but I'm evaluating that as a renderer for the project.....we have to render @ 4k+. The GrowFX object doesn't show up in the Redshift Render - is this because I'm using a Demo version of Grow or are they not compatible ?
  10. Hi - I am evaluating a workflow where we require a tree to grow with individual images on each leaf ! Is it possible to assign an individual Material ID or unique Mapping Channel to individual Leaves using Grow FX ? Or are there any workarounds people can suggest. Many thanks
