Hi ptrain03, Thanks for the helpful tips! Yes, the meta mesh algorithm uses a single thread, but in the future we plan to implement multithreading. Regarding other mesh builders, at the moment, starting with GrowFX 1.9.5, we've disabled multithreading. This was done to accelerate the creation of meshes, because the process of creating threads takes too much time, and the creation of the usual trees is getting slow. But we'll optimize these algorithms, and will implement multithreading for very large trees. Thanks! -

Ну вот, удалось проверить... Что интересно, он ругался, говорил, что не установил ничего, а сам все таки скопировал все необходимые dll Уже заметил это когда копировал файлы с другой машины... В общем с этим рендерером все ясно. Он использует стандартный способ получения Mesh из объекта, посредством вызова функции ConvertToType(). Это как раз таки обычное конвертирование в меш, используемое в других плагинах. По идее разработчики должны были использовать GetRenderMesh(), а еще лучше комплект функций NumberOfRenderMeshes(), GetMultipleRenderMesh() и GetMultipleRenderMeshTM(). Я, конечно, напишу им просьбу использовать другой метод получения меш, присущий как раз такие для рендереров. Но а пока включайте "Convert to mesh", а еще проще держите их включенными всегда, их состояние сохраняется в max-файле... -

Можете ли Вы прислать мне ссылку на рабочую версию рендерера Corona ? Почему-то то, что я скачал, ругается из-за того, что у нас не "Windows Vista or newer", хотя установлена Windows 7 Спасибо! -

Hello, The Point Cache modifier will not works with growth animation, because such animation changes topology of the object (ie changes number of vertices and faces). It will works only with the wind animation! Try using the VRay proxy, it works fine with animation growth... You can write us directly by email at support@exlevel.com Thanks!

We can add an additional option for rescaling Instanced geometry builder. During rescaling, you can choose the way in which the instanced objects will not be rescaled. But instead will be rescaled all values of the Scale parameter in the Instanced geometry rollout. This method will allow not affect other related objects. Thanks!

But there is another way Create any animation inside your GrowFX object that will not affect to anything. For example, create a new dummy path, and animate its length without any restrictions. This will force recalculate GrowFX object in every frame of the animation Cheers

Hmm, there's animated only the helper object and the reaction object is not animated. I don't know yet how to track it... Do you've the opportunity to animate the reaction object itself? Thanks!

Hi Mad, We've found a solution for this problem: You just need to delete all objects from the scene used in the Instanced geometry! As a result, all references between GrowFX objects will be broken, and recalculation all of GrowFX objects that have the Instantced geometry, will not occur when you rescaling an object. However, GrowFX will keep these objects, and if necessary you can extract them... Thanks!
