Hi Mario, You just need to disable the VecOrient, and configure the settings for PathDistr_01 as on my screenshot: There I also added an affect to the Angle divergence, to change the angle of the leaves along the twigs length. You can delete it if it's not needed... PS: In the VecOrient you're using the Local vector, so in this case it's not working properly. I sent you an adjusted model... Thanks!

Hi Mario, Firstly, set the "Angle Axis" = 0 (instead of 360), this parameter specifies the angle of the next element in relation to the previous one, and on the first element is not affected. Then, in the settings "Distributor in point" change the "Angle axis", so that your leaf turned as you need. Здравствуйте! Вы уже не первый кто спрашивает про это В общем, на данный момент сделать это невозможно, так как GrowFX полностью интегрирован в 3dsMax. Но сейчас мы разрабатываем нодовую систему, и после этого сможем уже создать независимый модуль, который можно будет внедрять в другие приложения, и возможно создать standalone версию... По поводу скидок, думаю будут весной, как и в прошлый год. -

Yes, it was a bug in one of the previous versions. Please update your version up to 1.9.6. Also move modifier 'Vector_dir_02' before 'React_dir_01', then they will work in tandem... Thanks!

Modifier Wind animation best used in the After Mesh Modifiers! Modifiers assigned in the After Mesh Modifiers will be calculated after calculation of all meshes. This will only affect on the resulting meshes, and will not affect on the paths. Accordingly, it works more quickly because the paths and meshes (especially meta meshes) are not calculated in each frame of the animation. Try to render your trees and you'll see the wind animation. Or turn on the Meshes mode for some GrowFX object and watch the animation in the viewport... Thanks!

Hi Andrew, Yes, it's great idea! But I wonder why you set the angle of Turn axis 223.6? I think it should be 222.49 or 137.51. It was shown in the 2nd part of the video. Or you can find here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fibonacci_spiral Here's my fixed example: Fibonacci_Spiral_Test_03.max I fully changed the growth animation and some parameters for the 'Fibonacci_Flat' model, I think that animating length better than the density... Also I delete ObjectSlice modifier and aligned the 'Ends' by affecting on the length of the Vertical Nodes path. Thanks!

GrowFX still running in single thread when building mesh

Hi ptrain03, Thanks for the helpful tips! Yes, the meta mesh algorithm uses a single thread, but in the future we plan to implement multithreading. Regarding other mesh builders, at the moment, starting with GrowFX 1.9.5, we've disabled multithreading. This was done to accelerate the creation of meshes, because the process of creating threads takes too much time, and the creation of the usual trees is getting slow. But we'll optimize these algorithms, and will implement multithreading for very large trees. Thanks! -

Ну вот, удалось проверить... Что интересно, он ругался, говорил, что не установил ничего, а сам все таки скопировал все необходимые dll Уже заметил это когда копировал файлы с другой машины... В общем с этим рендерером все ясно. Он использует стандартный способ получения Mesh из объекта, посредством вызова функции ConvertToType(). Это как раз таки обычное конвертирование в меш, используемое в других плагинах. По идее разработчики должны были использовать GetRenderMesh(), а еще лучше комплект функций NumberOfRenderMeshes(), GetMultipleRenderMesh() и GetMultipleRenderMeshTM(). Я, конечно, напишу им просьбу использовать другой метод получения меш, присущий как раз такие для рендереров. Но а пока включайте "Convert to mesh", а еще проще держите их включенными всегда, их состояние сохраняется в max-файле... -

Hello, The Point Cache modifier will not works with growth animation, because such animation changes topology of the object (ie changes number of vertices and faces). It will works only with the wind animation! Try using the VRay proxy, it works fine with animation growth... You can write us directly by email at support@exlevel.com Thanks!
